Dave spent 20+ years as the Lead Acoustic Engineer at Etymotic, where he was at the forefront of the research that defined high-fidelity isolation and accuracy. When Dave joined Dark Matter, he brought that two-decade legacy of specialized knowledge and uncompromising standards with him.

For the last 1.5 years, we’ve served the professional audio world almost exclusively, offering full customs (CIEMs) to touring musicians and studio engineers. But we know the critical listener on the street is just as passionate as the musician on stage.

Our online Customizer is now live. Here is how you can build a monitor that matches our legendary tuning with your personal aesthetic:
- Start Your Journey: Visit the products page HERE and choose your model and clock cusomtize.
- Choose Your Body: Select your primary body color from Opaque Black or white to a rainbow of translucent shades. This is the foundation of your build.
- Define Your Style: Choose your faceplates. We offer everything from raw Carbon Fiber and crushed opal to iridescent Abalone and stabilized Burl Wood.
- The Final Details: Select your cable and let us know what name to print on the case!
